1. The service

StarryTime generates original short children's stories from the choices and text you provide, narrates them with AI-generated audio, and stores the results in a library on your device. An account, created and managed by an adult, is required to generate stories.

2. Accounts

You must be an adult to create an account, and you're responsible for activity under it. Keep your sign-in credentials safe. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service (see section 6).

3. Plans, story allowances & subscriptions

• The free plan includes a monthly allowance of personalised short stories. The premium subscription includes a larger monthly allowance, longer stories, an additional narrator voice, and saved listener profiles. Current allowances and prices are always shown in the app.
• Re-narrating a story whose audio you've deleted uses one story credit from the same monthly allowance. Replaying stories in your library is always free and unlimited.
• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play at the price shown for your country, renew monthly, and can be cancelled any time in the Play Store or from the app — cancellation stops future renewals and premium features end when the paid period does. Stories already in your device library remain playable regardless of subscription status.
• Unused monthly stories don't roll over. Allowances reset at the start of each period, as shown in the app.
• Refunds for purchases made through Google Play follow Google Play's refund policies; where the law of your country gives you additional rights, those apply.

4. AI-generated content

• Stories and narration are generated by artificial intelligence. They are original works created on request — but like all AI output, a story can occasionally be imperfect, odd, or not what you expected.
• Every story passes children's-content safety filtering scaled to the age range you choose. If something slips through that shouldn't have, please use the in-app report button — we review reports and use them to improve the filters.
• Narrator voices are commercially licensed synthetic voices. We do not clone the voices of real, identifiable people.

5. Your stories

Stories generated for you are yours to enjoy with your family: keep them, replay them, and use them for personal, non-commercial purposes as you wish. You are responsible for the ideas and text you submit — don't submit content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to generate content that is harmful or inappropriate for children, don't try to bypass the safety filters, story allowances, or purchase verification, and don't reverse-engineer, resell, or automate the service. We may refuse generations that trip our safety rules and may suspend accounts engaged in abuse.

7. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the service available and story generation quick, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability — generation depends on third-party AI providers. A failed generation never consumes your story credit twice; if a story fails, retry it at no extra cost. We may improve or change features over time; if a change meaningfully reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll say so before it affects you.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer-protection law of your country of residence, and nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Ending things

You can stop using StarryTime at any time and delete your account. We may close accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.
